This lesson is written for PSP9, but can also be done in PSP8.

For this tutorial you'll need:



Filters:

- Filter Eye Candy 3.1 - Glow - Download HERE.
- Filter Xero Set 1 - (Porcelain) Download HERE. Find Downloads in the menu at the site, look for Filterset 1 and click next to that at the right side 'Site 1' or 'Site 2'.
Unpack these filters and put them in your Plugins folder.

Supplies:

- Cloud9 Selections, download HERE. Put these in your Selections Folder.

- Background picture, a tube of a ladies' face and one of a man. Put these in a folder of your choice.
- Font Passions Conflict ROB. To be put in Windows/Fonts or in a folder of your choice.
- Texture Ruit 02. (I'm not quite sure if this one is a default texure in psp). Put this one in your Textures folder.
Download the tubes, background pictures, the font and the texture HERE.
I also put the picture and the tubes I used for the image at the bottom of this page in the Zip.


- A flower tube by Manon (Top Designs Tubes). Download HERE. Put this one in a folder of your choice.

- The script I used comes from Het Molehofje. Download the script HERE.

Open the tubes and the background picture in PSP. If you didn't store the font in Windows/Fonts, open the font also by double clicking for later use.


The Tag:

1. Open a new image Width 500 px and Height 400 px, transparent.

2. Selections > Select All (Ctrl A).
- Set your Foreground Color to #ded5cf and your Background Color to White.

3. Make the Background image active. Edit > Copy (Ctrl C).

4. Make the new image of 500 x 400 active.
- Edit > Paste > Paste into Selection (Shift Ctrl L).
- Selections > Select None (Ctrl D).

5. Layers > New Raster Layer. Floodfill with white.

6. Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection from Disk: Cloud9_Strepen Hor.
Load.



- Activate your Floodfill tool (F), make sure the Match Mode is set to "None"!!!



- Floodfill the selection with your (dark) Foreground Color .
- Selections > Select None (Ctrl D).
- Set the Layer Opacity to about 54.

7. Go to the tube with the man. He has the proper size already, height 430, so slightly higher than our image of height 400, but that's OK.
- Edit > Copy (Ctrl C).

8. Make your image of height 400 active.
- Edit > Paste > Paste as a new Layer (Ctrl L).
- Move him with your Move tool (M) to the left, so that his elbow is beyond the edge of the image, as below.



- Effects > Plugins > Xero - Porcelain. Default settings, but move the bottom slide to 0.



9. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow. Vert. 1, Hor. 1, Opacity 30, Blur 33, Color Black.



10. Layers > New Raster Layer.

11. Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection from Disk: Cloud9_Strepen Vert.
Load.



- Floodfill the Selection with your (dark) Foreground Color.
- Selections > Select None (Ctrl D).
- Go to your Layer Palette and set the opacity of this layer to 46.

12. Layers > New Raster Layer.
- Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection from Disk: Cloud9_Rechthoek. Load.



13. My tube has a width of 203 px and a height of 300 px. Make sure the tube you use has about the same size, or a little larger, not smaller!!!
- Activate the tube of the ladies' face.
- Edit > Copy (Ctrl C).

14. Activate your image of 500 x 400 px, Edit > Paste > Paste into Selection (Shift Ctrl L).
- If you are satisfied with how the face looks, you can go on with step 15, if your tube deforms too much, you can do instead of 'paste into selection' the folowing:

- Edit > Paste > Paste as a new Layer (Ctrl L). Move the tube with your Move tool (M) into the selection, on all edges there are parts of the tube beyond the selection, as you can see with the tube below:



- Selections > Invert (Shift Ctrl I).
- Hit the Delete Key of your keyboard. The surplus of the tube is now gone.
- Layers > Merge > Merge Down (only if you folowed step 14 entirely!)

15. DON'T MOVE THE TUBE!!!
- Selections > Select None (Ctrl D).

16. You can apply also on this face Xero Porcelain if you like, same settings as we used on the tube of the man in step 8.
- Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow. Vert. 0, Hor. 3, Opacity 30, Blur 26, Color Black.



17. Layers > New Raster Layer.
- Selections >Load/Save Selection > Load Selection from Disk: Cloud9_Frame. Load.



18. Set your Foreground Color to bright blue #a7d7fd and your Background Color to White.
Set your Foreground Color to Gradient Foreground/Background. Angle 0, Repeats 0, Invert not checked. Make sure the white part is on top and the blue part is at the bottom of the gradient.



- Floodfill the Selection with the gradient.

19. Selections > Float (Ctrl F).

20. Effects > 3D Effects > Cut Out. Vert. 2, Hor. 2, Opacity 48, Blur 4. Shadow Color black. Fill Interior with color NOT checked.



21. Selections > Select None (Ctrl D).

22. Activate the flower tube Mtm_Bloemen 98.
- Edit > Copy (Ctrl C). (Make sure the proper layer of the tube image is active, ohtherwise you will copy the watermark of Manon:) Raster 2 must be activated).

23. Activate your image of 500 x 400 px.
- Edit > Paste > Paste as a new Layer (Ctrl L).

24. Image > Rotate > Free Rotate (Ctrl R). Left, 90, All layers NOT checked.



25. Go to your Layer palette and, while holding your left mouse button, drag this flower layer (Raster 7) down until he is in between Raster 1 and Raster 2.



26. Lock Raster 2 (the layer with the horizontal stripes) by clicking the little eye in the Layer Palette.

27. Activate your Move tool (M) and move the flower between the man and the woman and a little downwards, so the blue sky becomes visible.



- Unlock Raster 2 by clicking the little eye again.
- Set the Blend Mode of this layer (Raster 7) to Hard Light and the layer opacity to about 74.

28. In your Layer Palette, activate the top layer, Raster 6.
- Activate the Heart tube. Edit > Copy (Ctrl C).
- Activate the image of 500 x 400 px. Edit > Paste > Paste as a new Layer (Ctrl L).

29. Move the heart with your Move tool (M) in place, at the bottom, just next to the woman in frame.

30. Layers > Duplicate.
- Image > Resize (Shift S). 85%, Resize All layers NOT checked.



31.Move the little heart with your Move tool (M) a little to the right.

32. Make sure the top layer is active (Copy of Raster 8).
- Layers > Merge > Merge down.
The two hearts are now merged into one layer.

33. Effects > Plugins > Eye Candy 3.1 - Glow.
Width 10, Opacity 70, Opacity Dropoff Thin, Color #ecceea



34. Layers > New Raster layer.
- Activate your Text tool (T).
Floating, Font: Passions Conflict, Size 36, Stroke width 0, B(old) activated, Anti-alias Sharp, background color white.



- Type Love is in the air (or text of your own).
- Move the text upwards and a little to the right in the blue sky.
- Selections > Select None (Ctrl D).

35. Layers > Duplicate.

36. Go to your Layer Palette and activate Raster 9, the bottom layer of the two text layers.
- Effects > Plugins > Eye Candy 3.1 - Glow.
Width 20, Opacity 61, Opacity Dropoff Medium, Color #FFFFFF (White).



37. Activate now the top layer, Copy of Raster 9.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow. Vert. 2, Hor. 2, Opacity 78, Blur 8, Color #6fb4e9 (light blue).




38. Layers > Merge > Merge All (Flatten).

39. Image > Add Borders. 2 px, Symmetric checked. Color White.
- Image > Add Borders. 2 px, Symmetric checked. Color #a7d7fb (Light blue).
- Image > Add Borders. 2 px, Symmetric checked. Color White.
- Image > Add Borders. 2 px, Symmetric checked. Color #314e65 (Dark blue).

40. Add your name or watermark, your tag is ready.

If you want to use the supplied script, you need two background images. We are going to make those now.


Background 1:

41. Open a new image 200 x 200 px, transparent.

42. Floodfill tool (F), floodfill with white.

43. Layers > New Raster Layer.
- Floodfill tool (F), floodfill this layer with #a7d7fd (blue).

44. Selections > Select All (Ctrl A).

45. Selections > Modify > Inside/Outside Feather. Inside checked and Feather amount 75.



This effect will become visible AFTER you applied the texture in step 46!

46. Effects > Texture Effects > Texture. Find Ruit 02 Texture, with these settings:



- Selections > Select None (Ctrl D).
- In your Layer Palette, set the layer Opacity of this layer to about 76.

47. Layers > Merge > Merge All (Flatten).

48. Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling. Check: Corner, Bidirectional and Linear. Transition 50.



49. Save this background as jpg and name it: bg1.

Background 2:

50.
Open a new image 200 x 200 px, transparent.

51.
Floodfill tool (F), floodfill with #a7d7fd (blue).

52.
Layers > New Raster Layer.
- Floodfill tool (F), floodfill this layer with White.

53. Now repeat step 44 to 48.

54. Save this background as jpg and name it: bg2.

You're all done. Now you can put the tag and the backgrounds in the supplied script of Jetty.
